When importing design from Auto-CAD to revit, what are the necessary steps to be taken?

Save files , Unify units , Detect the level to place at & Preserve colors then Import the CAD file

Click on import CAD from the insert TAB, Browse the particular file, You need to make sure some instances here like, Check box in current view (Allows to view only in current view only), Color( optional) ie, black and white will be enabling a black and white view only) and importantly the positioning. origin to origin is like ucs in CAD programs, center to center just displays to the center of the view. when click on open some times it disappears.This occasion you can view this by filter option (click on filter check none then click on your dwg file).Now this appears.
