What's Useful for an individual : Promotion in scales or Promotion in Perks. Not both as an answer ? Please help my seniors with your experience answers

It depends on the personality. Some go for money, others go for fame or power or position 

Would vary and depend upon individual's requirements. Some prefer perks which meets their pending needs. Others prefer hike in scale to match and meet their personal needs.

In my opinion they're walking side by side !

I agree with Ibrahim Hussein Mayaleh.

1.Some are purely working for money.

2.Some are required to work for money and work hard for their rewards.

3.Some are working for money for necessities and do hard work but they are not adequately paid.

4.Some may not work hard but manage to get money.

5.Some have no bargaining powers.

6.Some may work too hard but not at all bothered about it  even though they require money for their bare necessities.

I could find many people belong to these categories in my life --More interestingly to me is that I could also count myself with all these categories in some day or other during my life upto this date.

Consistency of employment in a growth oriented firm is more important for all young guys who must try for it from the molding period itself.  Otherwise luck and time is the player.
