·         Things to do in free time are.

·          Evaluate yourself

professionally and personally (write down those gaps and plan to filled that gaps)

·         Call your love ones

·         Plan your activities

·         List down your dos and don’t

·         Make your objective (worthwhile)  

·         Clear off desk

·         Follow ups from team members

·         You may organize your mail box

·         Read Articles on Linkedin

Maby tidy the desk and discard some things we don't want/use anymore, do some filling or participate in a seminar that could enhance our experience and knowledge.

Take yourself away from the work environment, briefly! Go for a walk, get some fresh air, clear your mind and return to your desk refreshed.

Mostly I will say rarely I have free time and If  I have I wouldn't jut set at my desk if i can, I would use it in social with other department's employee if they are free too, however I would like search the net for some articles which will enhance my skills and then think for creative idearelated to my work

All those readings that interest you but just can not do at home. List them all when realize that u must read to get inside of it. like general knowledge, use wikipedia.org , do not waste this free time with gossips and social networking like facebook etc.

Make informal meetings with fellow to strength professional networking, get desired outcomes that necessitated by your job from these meetings.

Any online short courses or subject preparations.

Mind it this free time but not a priceless time.

I can speak for myself. I hardly have free time at work. But when i do, I like to catch up on current world news, watch TED talks (I am a big fan) or read some of the motivational books i recently got from amazon.com
