The professional ethical standards for an accountant is to demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty in presentation of Financial statements. He/She must comply with all regulatory (FSA/GAAP) standards and disclose everything which are mandatory.

We all know about Enron and Arthur Anderson for unethical behavior and aftermath..
