An HSE Officer's key responsibility is to stay alert, keep others alert, ensure work place safety,   identify possible hazards and risk reduction, reporting ,daily safety inspection checklist followup, improvements in safety conditions, policy making & improvement, work permits issuing / closing, supervises the operations after TRA (Task Risk Assessment), remote assistance, developing emergency responce system & safety trainings to other employes

While being Environmental friendly

Key roles of a successful health, safety and environmental officer includes but not limited to:

1. He leases or severs as a liaison between management and employees.

2. Ensures the effective and efficient implementation of the company's safety management system i.e plans, policies, programs, processes and procedures.

3. He needs to provide safety training to employees particularly new recruits on the safety aspect of their job.

4. He needs to conduct regular safety inspection of the workplace or site to identify hazards present.

5. He needs to work to provide recommendations to eliminate or control those common hazards.

6. He also has to supervise or monitor closely extremely hazardous activities in the workplace.

7. He needs to ensure the company is working within set government laws and regulations.

8. He is also required to collaborate with the HR to develop safety recognition programs to recognize and reward employees who are safety conscious.

the role HSE officer is to make sure that the operations are going to according to safety roles and regulations. If there is any breach of regulations will lead to fines for the company as well as for the individual. Risk assessments and provide controls over the risks.
