Yes, even though I am kind of positive that there aren't any available "university degrees" that are Design solution specific.. university degrees are door openers.
I am a civil engineer by degree but solution designer by passion and profession.. having a BSc helped me in getting a position in an Engineering specific solution provider.. and the degree helped me in understanding the basics..
