Job Design is how tasks and responsibilities are designed together to build a complete job that is aligned to organisation's objectives. This includes the motivational characteristics of work, social, work context and knowledge characteristics of work.

mostly organisations are not conducting job analysis and they write job descriptions on adhoc basis without any study.
even they limit the job analysis to job desccription although it is one of the uses of job analysis and not everything

I don't know if the statistics is accurate, I guess it depends on the company, industry, and territory. We have performed Job analysis for all organisational change projects that were performed, and this is one of the most essential things that you need to perform, as one of the main elements of change is determining current state, or else, how can we change what we don't know?

Many companies fall in the trap of performing changes to suit their day-to-day needs, which are not carefully considering it's effect on the company.

most of companies dont actually do the job anaylsis the proper way by monitoring the employee what he is doing and so, but what they do they design the job description for example a construction engineer they design his job descriptio0n and then taylor it according the position with the department head, most of employees will find out that they are doing more than what is written on their job descriptions so i believe that job descriptions are just part of the employment process but we all end up doing extra work that helps in achieving our jobs.

I think that the rate of more than 5%, which analyze the job description, but what matters is the difference in this description of the company and other ..the accuracy of this description and clarity ..the more accurate job description when he can recruit the right staff ..the best companies are using the exact job description is : Bayt.com

HUMAN RESOURCES are the Very-Very-Important-Asset that an organization can have.
All other Factors-of-Production are taken care / handled by people.
The rise or fall of any and all organization simply depends on its people.
No Plan Fails, if it failed means, it is because of its people.
Such is the POWER of people in any organization.
Top companies have realized this theme very well.
They give at-most importance to this factor.
They take mathematical / engineering precision is designing the use of human resources in their organization, even the color of the office, furniture, are carefully designed.
Each and every position is studied and chartered in advance.
For each department, segment, section, HR protocols are pre-determined (of course, it is revised, fine-tuned and calibrated as and when necessitates).
A detailed Job Description (JD) is outlined.
Appraisal is designed very meticulously that enable the management to analyze its people meticulously.
Here, it is purely SYSTEM DEPENDENT.
Because, system is easy to study, understand, supervise and control.
Never, people dependent.
A lot of resources and investment and time is required for all these activities.
As such, only a handful companies that are willing to take the pain are involved in these activities, and, the result is very much evident, THEY ALWAYS PROSPER!!!

Agree but I think it might be3%, not even5%.  You can find out this result if you are doing deep market research on this subject.
