What are soft skills? Can you succeed in life without having soft skills?

Soft skills is must in any organisation. Infact soft skills is neccesary part of life. Because in day to day life we deal with many situations (bad or good situations) which can be handled only by our soft skills. Soft skill is the skill is the way of communicating with the people. It is the way to deal with irated clients or customers. Soft skills play very important role specially for people who deal with customers on daily basis. It is the way of convincing the most adamant customer who is just not ready to listen to anything when he is toltally unsatisfied with the products and services of the company. Soft Skill is very important in convincing the customers to buy the product.

Thank you all for answering. I have found the answer I was looking for. In my understanding soft skills include: Emotional intelligence, Personal skills/people skills and communication skills. And every person has to have these skills in order to succeed.

The ability to mazimise on people potential, which in turn results in better accumulated results.

Soft skills are attributes that describes individuals ability to interact with others.Its definitely impossible to survive without human interaction. 

A persons soft skill is an important part of their individual contribution to the success of organisation.The Soft skills that needed to succeed are  Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Decision making skills & Learning skills.

1. Soft skills is a term associated with a person's Emotional Intelligence, personality traits, social graces, communication, language, habits, friendliness, and optimism that characterize relationships with other people.
2. I don't think without soft skills we can get success.

Soft skills include competencies in areas such as Emotional Intelligence, communication, leadership ability, etiquette, conflict resolution, decision making, self-motivation, self-discipline, persuasion, etc.

Yes they are important because they help you to perform your job duties in a way that is constructive, compliant and organised.

Ability to interpersonal and communicate with people. It's a must to succeed in life.
