Yes, for sure it is.... All people are different but equal and each and every one has his/her value. Just like fingers, whichever you will cut, same pain you will feel. The real challenge in HR Performance Management is NOT to fight diversity but HOW to get the maximum possible outcome of each and every one of your employees. This is the real challenge for me. Even when somebody achieves this life-dream scope, s/he has another, even more difficult challenge: how to persuade all these people who are giving their maximum capabilities to the company, to be harmonically collaborate in the company's rules and procedures, in an effort to maximize company's benefits through their performance.
P.S. Diversity, in my personal opinion, exist in ALL life expressions. All people are different, so are diverted each to another. As for "cliche" definition of diversity, I don't believe that color, sex, nationality, religious, sexual preferences, height, weight, amount of hair on the head, and so many other obvious or not so obvious appearance factors are defining the personality of each person. The best I have heard sometime about diversity (ok, the real word was "racism") from a University professor was: " It is too racist to divert people in racists and not racists".
Yes, it is quite true that diversity will always be an important aspect of HR management. A good HR management will always strive for getting the best from its diverse HR resources to harness the benefits of diversity. It is a challenge but definitely brings in a lot of advantages to the overall human resource function
It is very important for the HR management to attract and retain the diversified workforce. Diversity is always in the forefront as HR performance Management is concerned.
