If it is for the first time you are in sales, I would suggest you for example, to watch different cookery shows in various medias-- the way they are presenting the things is different with some unique qualities, styles, added ingredients, so many colors, for no reasons of a special kind you will be sitting before it, till the presentations is over and forget about many things, but if the presenter lacking presentation and communication qualities, any one will simply switch off. Though everything is know to you in a different way as fully indulged in day to day practice, the interest creation is the prime factor....rest of the things follows once the audience start care for your presentation.---sales so easy all the time in the right hands.

The important ingredient of Sales is communication. It includes listening, speaking and writing proposals. Just focus on it while starting.

I would recommend that you learn as much as possible about your products or your services. This means, the benefits of your product or service, the unique selling point, the price, the promotion, the merchandising, etc. The second part, is to find out about your customers needs and expectations. As long as you can match the customers needs and your products or services features, you will be a "successful salesperson". This is what we have been taught as "theory". Being a successful sales assistant by practice takes a lifetime and needs a lot of patience and ability work under pressure from both sides ( the company as your have targets to achieve and customers as you have to maintain an acceptable satisfaction level).
