Does a leader need power? How can a leader avoid being corrupted by the power?

also employers in addition to experience & competence 

So that ...I think that the love of work &  workplace with the loyalty

to work both are always to protect the leaders &  the commanders of

the negative or destructive powers. 

The faith and Trust in the Leader by the group is power-it need not necessarily be a ruling power. Corruption is a personal decision if it happens to  be true or false charge, if it is not a truth. Both may happen to a leader.
