we should have a kick-off meeting at the start of the project, after signed off the contract so the project is exist.
Thanks for the invitation
Good question
Agreed with the excellent answer given by Mr.: Al yazouri
The kickoff meeting for a new project is your best opportunity to energize the group and establish a common purpose toward completing the work. I’ve found that a great kickoff is the result of good planning. After you've done your project preparation work, you need to plan for an effective meeting.
Obviously we should have a kick-off meeting at the start of the project…..The difficulty comes with exactly when is the Project start. If we hold it after the Charter has been signed off then it can be seen that the project exists, but for some people the opportunity to contribute to the charter has been lost.Try to hold the kick-off before the charter has been signed-off and many people will not attend (“this project does not exist, so why should I give my time to it…”). I suppose that whenever you hold it some people will be disappointed. And we might consider a kick-off meeting at several other times as well.
· If the project is very long (more than2 years in duration) each phase start should have a kick-off meeting. It is highly probable that the personnel will change; certainly the objectives and approach will change, so a kick-off meeting may be extremely effective at re-energizing the team.
Maybe the project is put on hold, reassessed and restarted with new parameters such as scope. Well, a kick-off might be a good idea, to restart the motivation of the team members.
Thanks, agreed with Mr.Alex Al Alyazouri
