This is a very open question and to simplify same Marketing can be defined as follows for an organisation;
-Marketing related to the organisation and its competitive position
-Marketing related to its people and resources
-Marketing related to its process
-Marketing related to the macro and micro environment it operates
Therefore the initial step would be to understand the above and then plan how an individual or an organisation can define strategies to manage them effectively.
