It is a paradigm shift...every thing is getting online.it is very easy to access millions of books.
Habit of reading is still there but not from the books it is from the internet.
True if we are talking about the physical aspect of the thing (the book).
False if we are talking of a book in any existing format (pdf, books as websites, book in handheld devices), in this era, it's very easy to access books, thus probably the average books a person read is surely on the rise (or at least it should).
The nature of habits and hobbies states that they generally don't grow or shrink "decline", the Internet just changed the way people exercise their hobbies/ habits.
False, do not be narrow minded as reading books is need not be only by reading physical book but could also be read online. There is an better version too that is called E-Book.
It's not based on habit, it's rather convenience to accomplish the same with more effect. :-)
Reading is a choice, parents should raise children on the habit of seeking knowledge through reading disregarding the tool.
It is partially true definitely. However, there are still people who have retained the good old habit of reading books
True , not only books but also newspapers , but in my opinion it's ok to read books or articles in the internet because it will give you the same benefit !
If you mean reading paper books, for sure it is true.
For instance it is a fact that newspapers and magazines distribution today is almost one fifth of what it was before10 years or so.
Some newspapers has already stopped!
VERY TRUE
