Lots of employees try find the exit way whenever they are under pressure of work, they always try to delegate there work responsibility to others in these condition. what will you do, if you are in any situation.
Firstly, it is quite normal that you have to work under pressure and it is a common phenomenon in work environment. But the question comes up how to handle such critical situation. The followings are some ways to handle:
1. Try to remain calm and cool.
2. Accept the pressure as challenge with a smile.
3. Prioritize the essential tasks and assignment to be addressed first.
4. Keep a record of progress of work to monitor the whole issue.
Work pessures come if you are not fully preparred of something that's gonna happen at the end of the day and this actually happens for every employee. For example, your Boss wants you to preapre a busines objective powerpoint presentation in rush for he will present it in a matter of2 hours to the Top Management, and being his Secretary you are required to the job. Given the limited time, you felt under pressure to do the job, but ventually you will deliver or completed the job. One thing, is to get focus on it. Love your job and by all means a reward is waiting. I've remember this as my experience, working for a real estate firm for a matter of1 year evntually paid off of me. I was assgined to the tasked to complete the model unit construction of a20 hectare development for5 months , given the priority area of land development is almost1 hectare and we almost need to construct10 model units. It was a challenge and a job well done. Meaning, if we are sincere, focus and committed for a thing, one thing for sure, we will reap the fruit of it.
Best of all,work hard with deep interst to your job,never come pressure situation.This is the good oppertunities for appriciation and reward.
The ability to work under pressure involves dealing with constraints which are often outside of your control - these might be resource or time constraints, the difficulty of the task or having insufficient knowledge required to complete the task, or unforeseen changes or problems. Effective planning and time-management (to mitigate or allow for unexpected problems for example) can reduce the likelihood of some pressurised situations occurring, but will not eradicate them completely.
Preasure in the working place is inevatable. However, reacting to it is a choice that we make. If we allow ourselves to be worried this will not help or improve your situation, in fact, it will make it worst because u will not be abe to concentrate. And when you are angry, grouchy and tense you afect not only yourself but everybody around you - be it a coustemer or colleagues. Being under preasure gives you the opportunity to practice self control and get out of your comfort zone. If you are under preasure, your colleagues most like are under it too. Be understanding of your own mood swings and those of others, smile, appear calm and give your best.
