Flow control, also called optimized production technology, focuses on the efficient flow of material through the production process. The philosophy of flow control focuses on bottlenecks.

For example, an owner using flow control will not buy a machine capable of1,000 units an hour if supply is only500 units. Examine systems and determine where lowest flow is experienced, then address that point and make sure it operates at full capacity. Flow control applies well where maximum productivity is required.

Managing cash flow control in construction projects is an important aspect of project management’s plan execution. Cost and funding problems usually arise from a chain of activities. To ensure the project’s continuity, this should be recognized by a system of procedures that recognizes the existence of deviations and their extent.

A set of project control processes for managing cash flow in construction projects is not intended for cost-savings objectives because this aspect should have been achieved at the planning stage. The focus of cash flow control is to fulfill what was originally planned because major changes if any, have already been anticipated and covered during the formulation of said plan.

The process or activity on controlling costs associated with an activity, process, or company.

Cost control typically includes (1) investigative procedures to detect variance of actual costs from budgeted costs, (2) diagnostic procedures to ascertain the cause(s) of variance, and (3) corrective procedures to effect realignment between actual and budgeted costs.

In this work we take a fresh look at the problem of flow control in multi-sender multi-group ..... Resource opportunity cost is defined based on the uti- lization of the .

Flow control is the management of data flow between computers or devices or between nodes in a network so that the data can be handled at an efficient pace. Too much data arriving before a device can handle it causes data overflow, meaning the data is either lost or must be retransmitted.

So replace the word data by money:

Flow control is the management of money flow between parties in a project so that the money can be handled at an efficient pace. Too much money arriving before the project can handle it causes money overflow, meaning the money is either lost or must be retransmitted.

In Manufacturings the flow control deals with the most efficient machines dispositions and arragement that is at least as said by Alex avoiding any possible bottlenecks and offering the

production optimization.

As an example in the Confection industry, for each new product a new machines disposition

is a must.
