Is online recruitment advertising the best tool for talent acquisition in the Middle East today?

Looking at all the available tools and media outlets we have today, would you consider online advertising the most efficient way to acquire talent in the Middle East?

Yes it is and I think this is for various reasons:
1- very convenient: cost & time effective
2- connect the globe just on click: now you can hire a candidate from any where more easily without the necessity to travel and attract the talents; it cross the borders.

3- Small organizations can benefit from the website browsing facility especially if they don't have corresponding software to assist in collecting candidates poll.

I work for the #1 job site in the Middle East and interact with recruitment consultants and HR director every single day.
I have to say that advertising online plays a very important role in attracting the job seekers who are particularly interested to work for your organization, plus its a good tool to expose your brand to the wide audience.
However, sometimes you might not get the right audience to apply for the job with the exact experience and skills you might be looking for.
As a talent acquisition manager, recruitment in charge it is very important for you to look what is available in the market.
Job board such as Bayt.com etc have databases for people who are actively looking for jobs, I will recommend you guys to have access on that as well and it will help you a lot.
usually by advertising you are giving a chance to jobseekers to select the job they are interested in but as an employee you have a full right to choose the talent you are exactly looking for.
Advertising + searching database = perfect candidate

I do agree, especially that "based on a Bayt.com latest survey" : - 35% of Job seekers in the MENA say that online job sites are the most effective recruitment Method.
- 44% of MENA professionals use online jobsites because they are faster, easier and an effective way to land a job.
- 39% of MENA companies use a leading job site to meet their recruitment needs indicating the great online recruitment penetration in the region.
- 33% of MENA professionals in the region feel that the internet is aiding employment in their Countries.

Yes and No.
Yes, when it's a white collar job.
and No when a blue-collar job.
And it depends on the industry as well.
Advertising is always effective where you get enough traffic.
Advertising an IT job online is the perfect way to get right candidates.
However advertising online for a carpenter may not be an effective advertisement method.

Yes it is considering the fact that it is an easy and cost effective method when targeting talents.
From a job seeker's perspective, he/she can browse and apply to more jobs online vs.
going in person to submit the resume (wasting time in traffic,parking,transportation,etc...).
From employers' perspective, they get to control the recruitment process and cycle by advertising their vacancies online and attract talents immediately.

Yes & No Yes , Because it saves times and its a fastest method and also it provides you different candidates in big numbers and yet it's easy to select your desired candidate.
No, Because may be sometimes candidates cv is not effective but when interviewed in person interviewer may find him suitable for the desired job.
