The last barking customer i have faced was B2B customer and for naming and shaming i can state the name of the company (Henkle).
Well known brand and well stubborn employees with attitude (not all of them for sure).
The manager did not like that fact that his market share are indicating lower than he hoped for and insisted that he is right.
Even by conducting dipstick to show that the numbers correct, during the presentation he went mad and refused to deal with me any more even though I was totally professional.
The moment that one feel like losing his guard are vital moment.
Henkel i decided to let my junior take over the negotiation with the client to save the loss of the business and it did work and now the client has disappeared, the business remains on growth ;-)

"Mad customer" means nothing.
Pls be more specific.
Why a customer is perceived as "mad"? Pls put more light on it.
Generally speaking, if a customer is having a behaviour that is far from what you expect, there is always a (good or bad) reason why he/she does that way (excluding paranoia, hysteria, ...
and any other clinical-related reasons).
I do reccomend in any case to act as an "active listener", letting him/her to speak as much as possible.
The more you hear from him/her, the more you are able to understand what he/she does really want.

I understanda mad customer is that type that will come back so upset and ready even to sew you up to a court because of one reason or the other not like crazy. As for me Ihad faced so many of such types the last case was when I was a sale lady and at customer care for ladies wear. A lady bought her stocks and discovered later that what she paid for was actually not what was in the packets. This was a problem from the manufacturing company. She had to come later so mad and ready to take action. I as the present agent , I calm her down by explaining and showing her details of our stock deliveries which causes the mix up and pleading to give her immediate stocks which were present at that time and also to give her some compensation for the inconvenience. That made her satisfy and she became a regular customer from then because of the situation. Thanks for reading.
