Performance appraisal is to determine the worth of the employee in the organization. Job evaluation is to determine the worth of the job. Performance appraisal is used to appraise the performance of individuals for the purpose of promotion, transfer, training, dismissal etc., whereas job evaluation is used as a basis of wage structure.
