Java and asp.net are strong programming language but I think that the asp.net is a best language for the web development and web application designing because asp.net is a pliant language

This is a pretty subjective question.
It really depends on what your needs are, what you're familiar with, and what is acceptable for your client (or company) as far as initial cost, cost of ownership, etc.
There are literally tens of languages you can program in for the web.
Most popular of course is php, due to its low learning curve and wide-spread use.

Website's back end codes need to be light, less resource hungry, easy to modify, high level of available support, easy to upgrade and transfer to other developers.
Also one very important thing is that you should not have to be in need of instructing your visitor to download something or selecting any specific type of web servers to upload it.
If you consider all these things only few languages will remain available...
In these few languages only PHP could stand on top.
I would recommend PHP for web development.
Easy to learn, implement and modify, lighter on servers, bulk of available support above all no money is required in all this.
Also very cheap web servers are available to upload PHP based websites.

I am a big JAVA fan and JAVA is a pretty good language to use, however when it comes to web I'd say, PHP shows to be the language of the web.

Asp.net and HTML5 and MVC Syntax will make you able to learn asp and php.

Well according to my opinion it depends on many things and main factor is cost. ASP .NET is good language and helps developers to develop applications fast and secure by using OOB features provide by Microsoft at the same costs more when compare with PHP or other languages.
