i think it is improving. to use something one must feel and see results.
once results are achieved more investments and commitments will be to social media platforms.
some companies are still in the experimental stages while some are using them effectively.
When watching the Internet and looking at what is happing out there with ME companies, we can clearly notice that the large amount of companies are using social media just because all other companies are using it and wanted to join the main stream regardless the bad practices they are making with social media.
Of course it is bad, but we can't deny that there still a good number of large and medium sized organizations are giving much more amount of attention to SM and are using its channels effectivly
Some are doing it right and other aren't, the issue with digital advertisement in the middle east is that some companies haven't adapted to the idea yet, people want to see immediate results, and when it comes to measuring online advertisement's ROI some fail to understand what does "Brand awareness" or "Product image" mean, Marketing and PR agencies are doing a great job at changing that perspective though, with more agencies on the rise and more social media penetration it will... Some day reach a point where digital media is as essential to companies as traditional media
