Direct product marketing is a sales method through which advertisers approach potential customers directly with products. The most common forms of direct marketing are direct sales, telephone sales, solicited or unsolicited emails, and mailed catalogs, leaflets, brochures and coupons. In most cases, the goal is to inform customers of products that they may need without waiting for customers to initiate contact. Direct marketing is practiced by businesses of all sizes — from the smallest start-up to the leaders. A well-executed direct advertising campaign can prove a positive return on investment by showing how many potential customers responded to a clear call-to-action.
Value added product marketing is a customer-driven process in which the producer retains more caring of the products for earn more money by processing, enhancing, packaging and/or marketing the product him/herself. Value-added may also include production methods such as organic, decorative, and grass-fed; hormone free, toxic free etc.Value-added products are almost always given a brand name.
Between the two ways, I think direct product marketing is the more profitable for successful business. Because in direct product marketing, there is less price and fresh products for customer and so number customer is higher. Thus sales proceed high and profit will be high.
