Sometimes company understand that can not meet many requirements of eployees and is afraid to know truth about negative moments in the company, is not ready to change smth.
To present Satisfaction Survey as a Method of taking feedback from employees about the processes in the company, just like a point of view and show that any changes can be implemented step by step, that Survey Results will give you possibility to know where to go in Making Employee Strategy.
Only Satisfaction Survey Results will give us real picture of company work and atmoshpere in staff.

I agree with Tatiana - a lot of companies may not want to know what the employees perceive about the Company and it's working environment.
However there are also situations where the company believes that employees may not provide correct information in the survey based on recent changes in policies or management decisions.
Very often many employees perceive these surveys as a waste of time because changes arent incorporated inspite of their honest feedback.
Best way to go about the survey is using a reliable external agency who can provide facts and figures that will help the management to decide the way forward.

I will answer that using a quote from Paulo Coelho : “People are never satisfied.
If they have a little, they want more.
If they have a lot, they want still more.
Once they have more, they wish they could be happy with little, but are incapable of making the slightest effort in that direction.” We actually have an annual employee satisfaction survey, and our company works hard to listen and act, but, not all companies capable of becoming google, offer a3 days for weekend, pay thousands, or let people manage their ownselves.
Each company has its benefits, try to see how others view your company, then go and fill in the survey.

Much has been written by expert, i would like to add that, if organization wants to avoid this survey then an alternate therapy, infect we too did it, you can collect a bit of such data while having performance feedback dialogue. We used to have few important fields in our concluding remarks from employee that how are they feeling, level of engagement and what is being expected from employer. We did compile the data and share it with management. We must understand the organization dynamics also, as someone mentioned that every organization is not a GOOGLE, yes being in HR suggest some cost-effective and less expensive solution. The ultimate goal is to have happy employees.

An organisation is not usually afraid to know what the employees think about the management, but does not usually care to take into account what employees think or their thinking does not matter to bring any change in the company.
This could be the main reason of avoiding employees' satisfaction survey.
Moreover, many a times the organisations are also not much aware of the importance of such surveys and what changes it can bring, i.e.
the benefits of such surveys.
If the management is not given knowledge about the benefits of such surveys then the organisation is tend to avoid them.

I do not agree most of the organizations are not willing to conduct staff survey or employee satisfaction survey. In my organization, every year we conduct staff survey and share feedback only with top management rather than wider.
