The realtionships today take over many fields and take a benefit of the open wide market so all this things the realtionship manager shuold well aware about it besides he should understand his existing data system and processe ,He should mapped out his lead flow processe from the top of funnel all the the way through the customer,so he need to understand how leads are captured (website,events,list pull,product...etc) and entered in his CRM (Customer Resource Managment) system
I agree with all the views presented here. With a short period of experience in the shoes of a Relationship Manager, I would like to say that he is the face of the bank who the customer and generally he is the face of the customer to the bank. If an RM could maintain his 'face' well with integrity, eye to detail, persistence and dutiful, then it is said that he has done well. Both internal and external customers are to be made happy and that is what an RM's role is.
