Not wrong at all but will be hard and probably could be late.
For instance, I've been working12 years in the field of Exports.
If I want to change to other field, such as Hospitality, will be hard because I'd start studying to get the knowledges, get experience and, at the same time I'd have to "fight" with younger competitors that have chosen this field at the beginning, they have the knowledges, maybe experience and they would be younger than me.
Maybe it's not necessarious a radical change.
Study your skills and the experience you have.
Maybe you can find something in the middle that can be also interesting for you.
Anyway, my advice is fight till the end for what makes you feel happy.
Life is short.
We are in God's hands.
So, go ahead for your dreams and, if you don't get it, don't be afraid because, at least, you will live knowing you did your best to get it.
You will never live with the doubt inside you.
If you are looking for a change,...
good luck!!

No, it's not wrong, on the contrary.
Our life events change us and so it changes our aspirations and interests as well.
I am changing my career from corporate controlling to wellbeing at work and studying psychology as we speak.
And I'm very enthusiastic and happy!

For me, changing your work field to another and starting again is NOT Wrong.
As every beginning is an opportunity for you to grow, explore and challenge yourself.
Grow in the sense you will be more mature and aware of your decisions which is applicable to yourself and work.
Explore things, within your self, within your new work field, new work environment.
And its the best time to challenge yourself to be more successful, and check your flexibility and capacity to bring new ideas from your new chosen work field.

It's a big step.
Think carefully before you move forward in this direction.
Field is a broad term, sometimes there are other factors that put you down to think this way.
See if you can upskill yourself in the same field by doing some advance courses or working voluntarily etc.
Your daily typical job could change by even changing roles in the same industry.
If your motive is handsome salary and better lifestyle, then think twice as "The grass looks always greener on the other side of the fence." Please don't take it as a discouraging comment.
Having said, situations can be much more different than what I have put in consideration while writing this.

Hi,

According to me, the answer for your answer is 'No' in case its been less than two- three years you started your career and "Yes" If your job career has gone more than three years.

But you can make this "Yes" to 'No' select a work filed in such a way that which has some connections with your previous field so that your past experience shouldn't go waste in your new work field.

Thanks and Regards,

Mathew Sijo Thomas
