Uniform dress code is a very important part of company image, it also give the employee a sense of belonging. There is no 'one upmanship' with uniform, we all wear the same, no expensive shirts or shoes, easy to decide what to wear in the morning and it sets us apart in the workplace. All this with the added bonus of you not having to pay for it :-)

The clothes that we wear should suit the climatic conditions of the region.

If the company provides uniform for all its employees, that itself is a dress code, than leaving it upto the employees to decide the appropriate wear while coming to work.  It also increase the company's image and also be an automatic form of advertising to the public.

Since the salary is according to the grade and not based on performance, then a uniform dress code can be easily implemented according to the company's policy.

With the code in case part of your job is to conduct meeting or any role in which you represent your company, If you're not in contact with people outside the company, then i'm totally against the dress code, and that's because I believe I'm the only one to make personal decisions about my life!
