It would be great if this happens in reality. It will not only practice someone else's english proficiency it will also add confidence to a certain person so he or she will not be worried to speak with anybody. Speaking in native language makes you feel at home coz it allows you to express yourself fully but we should be mindful that all country nowadays become a melting pot of all nations and english is the only way for all of us to understand each other.

I think the main reason for using English rather than Arabic when it comes to internal communications, is basically for the following reasons:
1- Typing in English is much easier than typing in Arabic (generally speaking)
2- Fus'ha is much different than the slang Arabic; so it makes it too sloppy to use in Slang, And weirdly formal in Fus'ha.
3- In English, the Slang is not that far away from the formal language, making it easier to use in Communication.
PS: this is only theoretical observation, I might be wrong about my conclusion.

Inside the arab countries we should have to use arabic as much as we can. Because I have observed that a person who knows arabic language is much comfortable while in organization or outside of organization like Banks, Market and travel as well.

But English is also a compulsary as international language.

I dont have any idea about working environment of middle east but i think in this global village where so many different people of different cultures are joining different companies. English should be given most importance. and should be mode of communication...

English is a language. A language is a tool for communication. Therefore, it can be shared by anyone. English is not for a specific society or group of people; it is for everyone. Any language should not be seen as a dividing force among people for its purpose is for people to express themselves, to be understood and accepted. It is with this reason that the stigma among people who do not speak English must be eradicated. English is the international language, therefore it is not for a selected few. It should be shared. Although it has gained global status it does not mean that English is only for the elite. If we want our companies to grow, we must make our people grow too. A broomstick will not function as it should, which is to sweep, if it has only one twig.

Communicating in English internally or externally is the best possible medium to put across your message what ever it may be so in my opinion ENGLISH is the only medium to communicate and address your issues its a common language spoken widely in every part of the world and understood by almost the entire humanity

I don;t think all companies have English as a mode of communication. I have seen employees communicating in their native languages  with each other and speak in English when they have to communicate with other employees (whose native language is different than them)

But i think, English should be atleast a medium of language for all paper work as not all employees are able to read or write arabic

English as a medium of communication inside companies are advantage for non arab speakers, this will lessen their task specifically if you are assigning project and save time for translation. However, if employees are all arab speakers then there is no need to use english as internal communication.
