Companies use market demand analysis to understand how much consumer demand exists for a product or service.
This analysis helps management determine if they can successfully enter a market and generate enough profits to advance their business operations.
While several methods of demand analysis may be used, they usually contain a review of the basic components of an economic market.
The first step of market analysis is to define and identify the specific market to target with new products or services.
Companies will use market surveys or consumer feedback to determine their satisfaction with current products and services.
Comments indicating dissatisfaction will lead businesses to develop new products or services to meet this consumer demand.
While companies will usually identify markets close to their current product line, new industries may be tested for business expansion possibilities.

Business analysis or marketing research/intelligence is a tactical, focused on pricing, place, promotion, and product(s), is method-driven field that consists mainly of neutral primary research that draws on customer data in the form of beliefs and perceptions as gathered through surveys or focus groups, and is analyzed through the application of statistical research techniques.  In contrast, Competitive Intelligence typically draws on a wider variety (i.e., both primary and secondary) of sources, from a wider range of stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, competitors, distributors, substitutes, media, and so on), and seeks not just to answer existing questions but also to raise new ones and to guide action.

that simply comes out of learning and noticing during communication, even in life the right person should be able to see whats going around what people need and why they need it and what they will use it for and when, and when this is done it means there is demand, on such a product or service, and if so a study should be done anaylizing what would happen if the organization is going to supply this service or product to the market, according to alot of factors  such as:

who else provides it, and for how much, where and when, and if so provided by your organization what is the extra stuff advantage you would have over your industry competitors. among a long list of other stuff that should be done.

In simple words, business analysis or market research both are the logical strategy to specifically look at product and its ups and downs in market according to price or shares or its presentability . these things are collected through some surveys etc.
