Being a AutoCAD Drafter, What makes you a better drafter than the next guy?

Probably the ability to view the whole project and not only to focus like a machine on my task. When you see the whole thing, you can think out of the box, and you are able to finish faster because you know where you are going. Having knowledge in architecture or engineering is also a way to be a better drafter, because, once again,you don't just do things like a machine.

 

In addition to autocad drafting I see that you might want to look into GIS, too. So far as I've seen, few architects use GIS, yet still try to double as city/urban "planners." I have been VERY unimpressed with any architects concept of "urban planning." GIS techs make more than drafters, and can work both sides of the desk, too. "Real" planners can make as much as architects or engineers.

I believe that I can be better than the other next guy is that I am a detailed oriented CAD drafting person with experience, patience, and in the name of maturity where I can handle the stress of this job requires me to do it just as make sure that I get the work done on time.
