SBUs are supposed to be updated about the changes in the market, competetors as well as regulatory through this the unit should be able to project the future performance of competetors and the industry and provide necessary inputs to the business teams.
The SBU should also review a company's ability to adapt to sudden shifts in the market conditions.
It should work towards establishing a relationship between a company's action plan and strategic objective.
