Well due to advances in social thought, we now no longer evaluate people based gender.

So the best sales people are the best sales people. That is ,those with the right set of social skills and communication ability usually are the ones that do the best at sales. By looking at these facts, or just measuring sales performance we can determine who is doing the best in sales

Both are equally good, sales is a born talent, no one can teach the sales to others. As far as delivering the perfect sales is concern, depends on the person's listening & understanding ability. A person who can understand the requirement of customer, can deliver the perfect sales.

 

Now weather it’s a Women or Men it hardly makes the difference.

it depends on lots of factors.............Country, Company, Product, Industry, Customer etc etc...............a sale person should be like this:

A young guy from North Dakota moves to Florida and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job.

The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?"

The kid says "Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota ."

Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he'd give him a shot, so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did."

His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor. "How many customers bought something from you today?"

The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, "One".

The boss says "Just one?!!? Our sales people average sales to20 to30 customers a day. That will have to change, and soon, if you'd like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida . One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota , but you're not on the farm anymore, son."

The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), "So, how much was your one sale for?"

The kid looks up at his boss and says "$101,237.65".

The boss, astonished, says $101,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?"

The kid says, "Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that4x4 Expedition."

The boss said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?"

The kid said "No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, 'Dude, your weekend's shot, you should go fishing.’

I have managed both team of men and woman sale representatives in distribution

female  sales representatives are more aim oriented and follow rules of company better, although they need careful approach from managment, as for sales they were more successful because their communication with shop managers and assistants ( who mainly are female) was easier, they built better long term relationship with outlets within their route and are more trusted by shop owner, have less conflicts and are more pacient also women are less risky for employer and mainly less froud happens with their participation

for woman motivation is empaty and support of a manager

as for male sales reps, from them most reliable, disciplined and aim oriented are married or ingaged employees-best employee within men is one with family responsibility-for them motivation is money

non-married is not as responsible and rotation is higher, they have different lifestyle and more excuses not to be disciplined as needed-for them motivation is competition-for example best employee of the month competition-becouse they are young and ambitiouse

depends on culture, but mainly woman has one more priority-she never drinks alcohol, never goes to casino, never has bad customs which may force a person to froud

you as an owner are on the safe side about your business money

women need less control but very flexible managment-for example if you push too much -they can just simply cry and be demotivated, you need more empaty

men need more control, more double check but you can tell them directly what you think without making them cry

 

another important point is leading team of sales men or sales woman

men need harismatic leader, they go after leader to win the war-it is part of thir phsychology

women need to feel their importance, each of them need to know they are unique for the leader, they are co-feeling and like to support,help, it is also part of phsychology, so  they support the leader and help to acheive goals

so as a manager i can summarize:

management style, motivation technics, leadership approach-you have to approach differently

reliability, trust, emotional contact and overall relations with customer are different

as for effectivness-it depents how you manage them,  use should use proper approach

 

To man you better say" you can do that!"

to woman you better say " it is so important for us if you do this"

Depends on the product. I sold car parts better than any guy at my job.. I became manager then Assistant Store Manager in just under4 months based on my knowledge and love for cars... I beat every guy in sales, targets, and customer satisfaction.

 

On the other hand, I seen guys sell make up and beauty products better than a female.. I guess its all based on your knowledge of the product, and how well you do it.

"Perfect Sales" cannot be distinguished by the gender of a sales person. Sales is completely dependent on the skills, precision, timing and interest of a person irrespective of caste, color, creed or gender
