During the recruitment process, attempt to establish the personality type in relation to the workplace/project and interaction with peers.
Before and during the probationary period, establish a clear standard, as far as expectations and zero tolerance for certain behavior and actions. This goes beyond company policy and requires leadership by examples of fairness and objective action.
Employees that are suitable and emotionally stable should be able to respect and follow the guidelines, and take appropriate action when necessary. Those who are not clear and/or not following the guidelines will require re-examination for further suitability.

Joining a new organisation brings fear into the minds of colleagues and the team. This is, but, a natural phenomena. Everyone feels that this new person would bring about whole changes to the systems and throw employees out to create positions for his own team to come in. The new person has views that he has been brought in to revive the company due to negligent or incompetent employees.
For a new comer to evaluate your work, honesty, integrity & loyalty, have as much as open mind about the new person, as should he/she do the same.
As for the new guy:
1) He should be a good listener
2) Have experience in understanding that organisation hierarchy creates jealousy and a tendency for them to misquote or give inappropriate opinion/advise or suggestions.
3) Evaluate performance documented and non-documented
4) Be able to classify who are the influencers and who are the followers in the organisation
5) With personnel dept & departmental heads be able to understand job description of each employee.
For the team member:
1) If you are doing your work with honestly and sincerity.....please keep doing that and you would get noticed and appreciated
2) Do not indulge in company politics
3) Give a chance to the new guy and understand the direction in which he wants to take the company. You may voice in your suggestions and opinion, to show your willingness and dedication to the company.

Inspite of having a bad day with ur boss or employee previous day, the starting day both should great each other with a good smile and try not to develop any differences.
- Take time to listen to your employees regarding their concerns and needs for performing their jobs. Discuss various issues with each employee individually, such as conflicts they may have with you or other employees. Rectify conflicts right away by coming up with viable solutions. Use a negotiator, if necessary, to handle conflicts out of your control. Keep the conflicts from raising or causing anger which can delay productivity.
-Learn the key strengths of your employees with respect to knowledge, education and skills. Assign people project tasks that they are naturally good at performing. Allow employees to set their own job goals or methods for completing assignments, according to senior business associates at Business Performance. Encourage your employees to make recommendations that may help increase your company's performance and productivity.
-Recommend training for employees who need it
-Communicate with your employees regularly. Keep them informed of the latest updates and encourage them to keep you apprised of their progress on certain projects.
-Find out what drives and motivates each employee to perform at a higher level.
-Use various performance elements such as customer service, sales or completed tasks as a basis for the program. Start an Employee of the Month program, for example, rewarding winners with a free meal, gift or cash, depending on the type of work they do. Give everyone an equal chance of winning the monthly award.
TIP:
Let employees know that you care about them. However, make them realize everyone has a job to do, and that you are accountable to your boss, just as they are accountable to you. Hence, times may get tough and tempers short. But you are all working together for the betterment of the company.
Warning:
Never yell or raise your voice to employees. This shows a lack of respect for your workers. Don't criticize employees in front of their peers. Take them aside and point out something they did wrong. Show them the right way to perform the task. Also, avoid dictating tasks and assignments. Take a team approach. For example, allow an employee to tell you another worker may be better suited for a certain project. But make sure that worker does some other project in lieu of the one he's passing on.

Bear it you mind that one hand can't clap. You are one hand as a manager and your staff is the other. The most important thing in the relation is the trust and the respect. If there is mutual trust things run smooth. So is the respect. You should be a leader and a person who sets high standards.Trust them, respect them, and you both will get to the target.

by giving them tasks to work at

Did you ever have a teacher or a camp counselor when you were young that clearly favored a student or camper? They let them go first in line, they always knew what was going on and they just enjoyed all of the perks of being a favorite. If you weren’t the favorite, do you remember how that made you feel? Chances are good that it didn’t make you feel too great. Now, as an adult, when you transfer those acts and those feelings into the workplace the results of favoritism can feel even worse. On top of that, the favoritism in the office can result in greater salaries for some and mediocre ones for others. Not to mention the decrease in employee productivity as well. That is why it is very important for employers to understand why treating employees fairly is absolutely necessary in the office.
