Small position in big company or big position in small company, which is better?

When the question "To work for a small or big company?" raises up, the person in cause usually finds himself hung in the middle.
If you are early within your career, you will definitely feel stuck and you wouldn't want to make the wrong choice, especially when it's about something so important.
In my own opinion, bigger companies offer better benefits, even tho there are some exceptions.
I believe that in a larger company you have a lot more to learn, the competition is bigger, better benefits, but on the other hand the possibility of change is on a "low process".
Now if you look at your position in a small company, you will observe that your work and success are more visible, as well as the failure.
If you want to get out of the dilemma you have to think and figure out where you fit the best.
I personally have worked in a small company, had a lot of responsibilities, it feels great to know that you can do so much, but right now I feel the need of more activity and bigger competition.
The answer for this question will always variate from a person to another, it's all about what everyone's expectations are and where they fit in.

I prefer the small one because I take more responsibilities and can control the development of the company.
I prefer to be head of mouse rather than tail of lion.
Because I will have a good bckground and be ready to be head of lion in the future.

من وجهة نظري العمل بشركة كبيرة و منصب صغير أو مسمى وظيفي بسيط أفضل من العمل بشكة صغيرة بمسمى وظيفي أفضل .
العمل بشركة كبيرة و ذات سمعة جيدة جيد جدا في حال استمريت بالعمل لديها أو انتقلت الى عمل آخر .
انا اتحدث من وجهة نظري و كما هو دارج في سوق العمل و معتقدات الناس من حيث السمعة الجيدة .
فالشركة ذات السمعة الجيدة تجعلك نفسياً فرح و متفائل بمستقبلك حتى لو كانت البداية بسيطة هنا تشتغل على نفسك فتصبح الشخص المناسب في المكان المناسب و لا تتنقل بين الشركات كثيراً للققدرة على الحفاظ على الثبات و الاستقرار الوظيفي قدر الإمكان و كلما كبر حجم العمل كلما تعددت خبراتك وكبرت المهام مهما كان منصبك الوظيفي .
الشركة الصغيرة و المنصب العالي جيد و كل شيء يبدأ من البدايات الصغيرة و يكبر و النجاح يولّد نجاح لكن السؤال ها هنا على افتراض انك امام خيارين الان فأيهما تفضل ؟

In my opinion the exposure what is important here regardless the size of the company  

small position in big company is much better ,the experience i get makes the diffrent

what matters the most is how you feel within the company.

small position in big company but move on and work it out to have the big position ,,, :)

Where you feel yourself fit and respectable.
I personally won't mind being a small part of the big company.

Answer to the question depends on the personal preferences of the job seeker.  bigger organizations are more stable than smaller ones - thus, on the job security point of view the bigger is better.  if you attach importance to the 'position' (esteem needs) - one may prefer to be manager in a small firm than an assistant in a large firm - you will have to choose the smaller one.  in short it is the preference of the employee based on the needs.  it is also important to note in bigger organizaions, the prospects and chances of promotions are higher and it will ultimately benefit the individual.  smaller organizations offer very limited scope in promotion prospects.

i think the fist you have to ask yourself which place you will feel satisfaction in ..
the environment and team is important than the company itself because in both cases you will get experience

In my view a small job in a big company is better, because in a big company you can learn a lot and also you have better chances of career development and enjoy job security provided that you have the required skills and work hard.
