How would you differentiate between success within the company and success in the field?

I feel the feeling of success is within and not out side.

Out side Success depends on  how social are you ,  how knowledgeable ,  competition skills , communication and Leadership skills

With in company depend  how you achieve your tasks, targets, goals, communication skills,

problem solver ... 

Maintain and improve the performance standards well above the industry average, a lot of performance index are available based on extensive research.

Qualitative standards depend upon culture and environment and is a collective effort from the Top management to the last level employees.

Success in the company is usually measured by promotions and/or acknowledgement

Success in the field is usually measured by  acknowledgement and recognition of the market including customers and competitors.

Success within the company depends on relationships within the company and the task assigned. Success in the field depends on the knowledge and skills achieved.
