Managing Professional life and Personal life hand in hand equally in this busy commercial life is one of the biggest challenges these days. When you are with family one should make sure they are totally involved with them leaving rest of the things likewise when at work, one should be dedicated only towards their work. Prioritising activities between work and family depends upon circumstances. One should be more capable enough to prioritise their tasks. Prepare a todo list, a check list order the tasks in priority based on their criticality also one shouldnt frgt to spend time with oneself... My motto is whn u r with family u r a family ...whn u r at work u r working ....n whn u party u just party...thats it.....

I start very early, so the day is long, so you make more then the normal5 or6 days. Take time of in the weekend. This is not only good for the family but for yourself as well to reload. Plan your work and talk about long and extra days in front with your family.

For me, the best way would be to spend time and effort where it really matters.  It is an art of balancing between what is ""urgent"" and what is really ""important"" leading to some scheme of prioritization and dedication to things that matter most on daily, weekly and monthly basis whether it is for work, family, development, entertainment or what so ever !

8 hours only for the work! it is difficult to manage that, I think after finish the work my family and friends can take the rest of the day.No work at the weekends, and a vacation every two years is good

If you have the choice ... to manage your8 hours work schedule ... and in the evening your family ... having the weekends off and can plan for a vacation once or twice a year this would be ideal ...

Not every one has this choice ... therefore it is up to each one of us to do the best to keep work and family time in balance.

First, discover your morals and what guides your life(Work, Family, Religion, Entertainment, friends). What is important to you?

Then, make a list of things to do according to your priorties, places to be, things to remember.

Write events and due dates on calendars, and put the most important things to you on the closest dates, leaving the less important and petty things for later.

If it is extremely small, go ahead and get it out of the way, but remember that many small tasks add up to a lot of time.

Keep an organizer/planner/schedule so you don't have to worry or try to remember.

Give yourself a reasonable amount of time to do these things and pencil that allotted time on your schedule.

Then you will know when and how long everything is. If you go over or under that time, adjust it the next time, so you will have some free time in there.

In weekday, I manage my work between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. My family between, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on the weekends. Also, for my work paid leave time, I used it to support my vacations to be used along with my family. I used this routine in more than 5 years and I am happy with it. Also, I delegate my wife to support my children's need while I am at work.
