It is assumed that the balanced scorecard for an orgainsation is developed AFTER SWOT and other analysis.  Also it is developed after bringing out the Mission and Vision statements and all strategies. So what could be the critical success factor for BSC's success?  Proabably the top management commitment to BSC could be the most critical factor.  As the implementation of the BSC involves each and everyone in the organisation, everyone will fall in line on seeing the top management involvement.  Mid course corrections would also be vital.
