If advertising expenses will be saved then there will be no money to save...

No but:

·         You have to think how to make innovative advertisements instead of stopping advertisements and how to make them efficient.

·         You have to select the advertisements media carefully to match your product/ service. The Expensive media is not always the best for all products/ services.

·         You have to use other promotional tools beside advertisements according to your product/ service.

There is no way we can stop advertising, like the quote of Henry Ford mentioned by my friend above if we stop the clock - we cant stop the time - similarly if we stop spending money on advertising does it mean that we are not advertising?

Our work will be advertising for us, our satisfied customers will be advertising for our company and only if we want to kill the business should we stop advertising.

Any business that does not grow will start to shrink and eventually die and hence stopping advertising is the starting point for the closure of the business

A man who stops advertising to save money is like a man who stops the clock to save time.

No. It is not an effective way of saving. There are a whole lot of ways to save than killing your advertisements. Advertising attracts sales. high risk = high return in my point of view

There should be always a marketing&advertising plan, within it you can decrease budget in what called dead seasons and of course increase it in high seasons, and even you can stop it at some points but always within a plan.                Thank You.

Stopping advertising is suicide. Rationalizing ad expense may be the least that you can do. For non - marketeers, it is quite easy for them to conclude that ad expense can easily be cut to save on cost. Yes bottom line financial gains may be achieved but you lose out on market awareness not only in the immediate term but gains in the longer term. If cost is the management's concern...rationalize your marketing activities...rethink the efforts and identify which of those can deliver results that nears the targets and negotiate this with your management.
