To teach highly skilled professionals, the teaching methods of their teacher / instructor / lecturer must be grounded in educational learning theory.As most of the students will be highly educated and must have a high IQ, their learning ability & questioning skills must be very sharp.
Establishing the learning process is a key element and provides a framework for teacher / instructor / lecturer to plan, create and deliver effective lessons, and assess the learning outcomes.
The reality is that teaching should come to facilitate student’s reach to answers and to encourage them to think for in reality human curiosity nature that seeks answers serves more than well to ignite the spark of learning. The teacher in best should get students to discover answers rather than spoon feeding them with knowledge this is best because when they work hard on learning something they will never forget it and more if they managed to find the answer today they will be able to answer it tomorrow even if the circumstances changed, this is why I most prefer Student centered teaching methodologies.
Agreeing to Mr Vinod Jately, I would strongly emphasize on use of practical case scenarios synchronized with the modern academic theories and models, encourage group discussions in the class, engaging students into research based assignments are essential tools/methods which must be utilized for developing an intellectually enriched learning environment, for a class of highly educated participants.
Last but not the least, the instructor must conduct fresh research on the topics involved, and should be well prepared to provide logical answers to the students with clarity and precision. A ten minutes question & answer session at the end of each session is a MUST.

According to me the best philosophy of teaching high skilled professional is creating an environment which is understandable to all. The environment of classroom should be friendly and communicative. The students should chance to response and teachers should be repeat their answer. And the main philosophy is there should be discussion in every topic and students should be participate on the discussion.
One of the keys to a successful class is the student centred learning
the trick here is the "focus', on what should we focus? Most of the answers focused on what should the instructor/trainer do from the point of view of the trainer/instructor, while the reverse should be made, looking at the needs of the trainees from their point of view.
What do highly skilled professionals need?
New learning opportunities, new knowledge, practical solutions, answering questions in related fields of expertise ... etc.
Therefore the first step is to determine their actual needs (needs analysis) and based on that you can design the teaching philosophy through the choice of the suitable methods of delivery which can best deliver that content. Hands-on exercises, group discussions, simulations, self-assessment activities could be the appropriate learning tools that can be used to teach this category.
Please remember, you have to know their actual needs not to assume you know it. Facts are totally different from assumptions.
