Ensure your staff are gainfully occupied\productive at all times Set performance Standards and ensure these standards are met Monitor performance of staff Ensure deadlines are met Staff empowerment via workshops\training Delegating staff responsibilities according to staff skills Keeping management informed of departments accomplishments, setbacks,challenges Maintaining of office equipment (calling techs etc.) Ensuring staff have necessary tools or stationery to effectively complete given tasks Monitor attendance (attendance record ,leave forms , time off etc) "Mothering" your staff (care,nurture them as a person, health,happiness,personal problems, family wellness,know your staff) Build good client relations Organise regular team building functions Process stats Monitor computer systems for exceptions or fraud And so much more but in a nutshell .Ensure the smooth running of your department ,Know each staff member and know EVERYTHING that goes on in your department
