How to make project progress S-curve using Primavera P 6, if resources are not loaded and in this situation how to assign weightage to an activity?

many Ways in Case  u want  to prepare ur s Curve  base on time or cost 

1-base on time  just add resource with unit rate1 to all activity  total budget unit will be same the duration

2- base on effort or cost u can export ur file to excel file and change the total budget units  as u want  as explained before 

Thanks for asking me. i would like to give one of the way to generate S Curve in Primavera as in your case resource is not loaded.

1. Create a non labour resourse with unit rate as1 INR/SAR and assigned this resourse in to all the activities.

2. Export the primavera file in xls(excel format)

3. Calculate the weightage for each activity as per your price schedule (Sales / Cost) and to avoid the minor values, total summation of weightage shall be10,000 or100,000.

4. Use Vlookup formula to put the calculated in budgetted unit of respective activity id.

5. Import into Primavera, then add two columns Schedule percentage & performance percentage

6. Schedule percentage is nothing but the planned percentage as per Baseline and performance percentage is actual percentage.

thus you can generate an estimated S curve

If resources are not loaded we have to prepare S Curve based on cost loading.
