I'm not a manager. Anyhow I would - to some extend - allow my employees surf internet stuff during work hours so as enable them connect with the world. This will help getting more productivity, as I believe!

YES I DO Sometimes  BUT not always ,,, as a kind of break .

It depends on the job description of the employee. If his/her work has nothing to do with internet use, then he/she has no right to do so.  But, if the employee's work has something to do with constant research and online communication then he or she should be allowed to surf the internet.

So simple "No", because according to IT policies no one are authorized to use property of the organization for their personal.

It is also seen that many employees are using.

Work culture under policing is less productive than inculcating self feeling of the importance of time and infrastructure resources made available for doing the job role.
