The best approach is to develop your skills, abilities and keep in constant touch with your employers showing them your willingness and ability to take on additional roles.
If you're good at what you do and work smart, you will get noticed and then it's only just a matter of time.

Developing an effective strategy for building relationships across the organization starts during the account planning process.
It is here that you begin to map out everything you possibly can about the structure of the customer’s organization.
Don’t just limit your research to the Decision Maker; develop as much background as you can on everyone in the Decision Maker’s Circle of Influence who could have an impact on the sales process.
You can start this process by getting to know a Gatekeeper.
This person may be hesitant to grant you access to their boss, but they are usually willing to answer general questions about the way things work inside the organization.
You can also learn a lot about the Decision Maker’s network through resources like Data.com, LinkedIn, and company website.
Once you have identified even a couple of members of this network, you can begin building relationships.
Once you have developed a comprehensive contact list for your target account, you go about building relationships with these people in exactly the same way that you would with the Decision Maker.
These people may not be decision makers, but they are still your customers, and you need to treat them as such by: - Focusing on helping instead of selling.
- Asking good questions and being a great listener.
- Discovering what they value, and making sure they receive that value.
- Thinking outside the box and finding ways to meet their needs.
You must keep your behavior consistent during all your interactions across the customer organization, and provide everyone with the same level of respect and support that you would give the Decision Maker.
If you neglect to treat a gatekeeper or an influence person with the same level of consideration that you provide the decision maker, it will get back to the decision maker.
At that point, you will lose your credibility with them and may also lose the account.
Developing skills to deepen trust with everyone in the customer organization is just one component that helps you to differentiate your organization from your competitors by creating a strong brand based on collaborating with the customer to help them achieve their most important objectives.
Thus, sales reps want to “cut to the chase” by going straight to the decision maker and making their pitch.
However, in most organizations these days, the decision maker is connected to and supported by a network of team members, many of whom can influence the outcome of the deal.
This network of people will often serve cross functions and departments within the customer organization.
However, your relationship with each of them will still impact your ability to grow the trust level you have with the decision maker.

Dear Fadi, Out of theories, business ethics and all of the well-organized professional talk, that will lead to nowhere.
allow me to tell you that in our Arabian world your connections plays an excellent role in getting you to a respectful job, i know that this is sad but this is mostly the mentality we are facing and have to deal with in our life nowadays.
This doesn't mean that you don't utilize your skills and professional experience at least so you respect yourself, and have self-esteem.
My advice if you have a good professional experience start building up good connections with decision makers so to increase your opportunities in getting a job, If not build up a good professional experience that will allow you to stand among others when trying to build up connections and relations with decision makers.

Dear Fadi, I believe the best way is to step up on your relationship skills and get connected with professionals both within and outside your industry.
Create a LinkedIn profile and connect.
Spread the word even to your friends and relatives that you are looking for a better opportunity.
Most jobs are not even published and filled quickly on referrals.
I am trying to do above as well :).

Dear Fadi, Trying many solutions will be better than deciding this or that one!! why do you want to reduce your chances? You can do all these solutions at the same time: - Joining to the courses that present the needs of the employers, and have some famous and required certifications.
Do not look at the financial point, as this is an investment, and they will give you the money back later.
- Try to bypass the borders of employers, by asking them to let you make practical courses in their institutions: these courses will make them know you closely, and when that happened, then some of them will welcome your join to his teamwork.
Ask them to make these courses for free, which means that you do not need money from them, it is just few months of practical training.
- Good relationships with employers will make you bypass the HR meetings as well, and this is unfortunately well known in our Arabic society, where the relations are better than the experience !!!! - Try not to limit your choices in accounting or warehouse managing only, as you are still young, and you are able to study, understand, and learn new fields of business, so use this great benefit to join to any good company, and remember that once you be inside the company, it is much easier to show your skills, and by adding those skills to your good relation with the employer, you can try to move to the department you prefer.

Day is too long so you can develope contacts with key personnel and, at the same time improve your skills and knowledges.
This is a competition and if you stop you loose.
Few jobs for many people.
