While minor typos are a fact of life in any publishing venture, in an online situation, it is never acceptable to leave a typo in place once you discover it...assuming you have control over the venue.
The ability to correct and revise is a fundamental characteristic of writing (vs, say, public speaking where once you've said something, it's out there forever). But writers have the opportunity to proofread and revise and all the more so online.
I tell my writing students: If you can look it up, you must look it up. So too with typos: If you can fix it, you must. (which I just did with this answer, by the way)
We are human, so yes! However, I have noticed that the younger generation including my siblings are less forgiving about it.
