I always take a printout of important information / documents and keep it in a file, just incase i do not have access to computer for what so every reason. But yes otherwise i maintain most of the records on computer or online (if company permits to do that)
Yes i prefer computerizes work because it is so easy and save our time. It is also dependable.
Being a System Analyst, I tried to keep both ends working simultaneously, till we received maximum best results from electronic.
In some case we have to keep both working simultaneously, though world is moving towards a complete electronic system.
Like in banks lots and lots of transactions done manually, simple example, Cheque Books are still working in banking sector, while Debit and Credit cards are there and even most of banks offering online banking system, you can transfer money wired through online banking.
We can buy several item online system, but there are a few we can't buy, we need to tackle issue through paper work.
In my opinion, should all transfer to electronic system, but hey, reading a book pleasures more then reading anything online.
There are things has its own pleasure as its real you can't compensate with other option.
There are few more examples, like we keep all data on computer and save and also tried to keep backup in case original data lose, we retrieve from backup, but what in case we lost all even backup,
So I suggest, it depends on company profile that how we are going to maintain its data, all manual or partially manual and partially computerised or completely computerised.
Sir I prefer computerized work rather then paperwork because its today's need and its time saving as well as accurate. but some times need to work on paper so i do not ignore paperwork. Paper work is also important.
Keep bearing in mind that the computer is very important for the supply and management of informations. But it remains a machine tool depending on the program and Input received.
The judgement, controlling and decision making still remains your job.
it would depend on the volume of transactions of the business. It is practical to use the manual system if you're doing a small project or a non complicated transactions. As an accountant you are familiar with the financial transactions and helps you easily understand the accounting flows of the business. In addition, for Internal Control system purposes. manual system is best.
Well in my experience i prefer computerize work more it is system work, safe & fast,
We can also save our work back up on USB,
But few work can't be done on computer it requires paper work when necessary,
I maintain a balance of both. While making a document, a presentation, a table or any graph is done on computer, when it comes to sharing the same with other people of your company for their views / feedbacks, it is better done in a paper form; but if the same has to be shared on a public forum, Computers are the best. Computer files are better for long-term storage, while paper form is good for short-term only.
100% computer work. Today we are era of technology and if required in any foels we can always convert docuents in notes for paper record.
Computerized work much quick and faster way with easy to share with all team in effective reach.
Lets see the future and change our mind.
I TRY TO DO LESS PAPER WORK DUE TO ELECTRIC MEDIA COMPUTER, YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR FILE ANYWHERE WITHOUT ANY LOSS, BUT SOMEHOW IMPORTANT DOCUMNT RECORD SHOULD BE MENTATIN AS AN HARD COPY AS WELL.
