Why is Autodesk consolidating AutoCAD Map 3D 2011 and Topobase Client 2011?

The consolidated product will be called AutoCAD Map3D2012 and is available as two separate offerings. AutoCAD Map3D will include the Topobase Client functionality without the requirement for Oracle. Customers who need a product with specific industry models that will work with their Oracle database will be able to purchase AutoCAD® Map3D Enterprise.
