How can I know what font is used in Microsoft excel?

active the cell that holds text then go to the group alignment and press at the lower corner to open the alignment settings then you will observe the font name at the font tab

In home ribbon the font wiget identifies the font, or use right click mouse and format cell, go to font tab, or use styles.

Click on the word you have entered in word/ excel and the font name will be highlighted in menu bar ..

Hi, I totally agree with all answers. and if you want to change the default font for your excel workbooks, you can change it from the excel options.

Just highlights the font using your cursor and the font used will appear what kind of font used. or other wise the software will response that the font does not exist on computer so they will ask you if you agree to change it by existing fonts..

Click the cell where the text is mention and look up at the home tab under font section, the font name will be appearing.
