1 - Learn basic programming languages and structure like html, css. You don't have to learn php or asp etc because you can get that sorted by hiring a developer on freelance website. But you do need to understand how php, html, css, responsive website structure, database structure binds all together to setup a website. There are several free courses available on the internet. Some understanding on hosting, domains and security essentials would also be useful. That is your min technical knowledge requirements.

3 - Search top trends from Google, browse top sites in the region like souq.com and see what are they selling and what people are buying?
