Which are the aircraft airworthiness regulation standards in the Middle East?

Which regulation is followed in the Middle East aviation (for instance, in the UAE): FAA, EASA or they have their own standards (like Part145, Part21, etc)? If local standards are used, are they aligned with any of the referred ones?

In Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the new safety requirements (GACARs) were published in March 2016 but the airworthiness codes for products certification (Part 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, etc) are still as specified in 14 CFR of FAR - USA.
