There is no one way to teach English to students as there are too many variables in any given situation. The most important thing to remember in teaching English is model and repeat the word. For example, if you are teaching five year old students the word "carrot", you must show them the carrot, repeat the word and then sound it out so they understand the pronunciation. If you are teaching a grammar skill, you must use it and try to erase some of the words and have the students guess the correct word that should go in the space. Repetition and speaking is the most important thing to remember when teaching English. Get the students to produce as much as possible.
