Unfortunately, for a teacher in the American schools systems that has to teach based on common core and standardized testing, one of the most (if not the most) important thing when preparing a lesson is the question, "Does this teach each of objectives clearly?" It seems like everything is based on objectives, but of course other aspects are important as well, such as learning differences, time management, supplementary materials, etc.
I agree with the experts answers. Thank you.
Several aspects:
1. Age, level and scope of knowledge of my students
2. What we have done, are gonna do and what not
3. What textbook we're using
4. What aims I have
To prepare for an effective lesson, one needs to review the curriculum of the module, develop a lesson plan and scheme of work to serve as teaching guidelines. One also needs to rehearse before starting the lesson and use relevant teaching aids for a student Oriented presentation.
1. Study the lesson very well.
2. The time of the lecture.
3. You have to prepare every small detail you will teach.
